So i just installed my first UAP-AC-HD but i am a bit bummed im guessing i need to purchase 1 to 2 more because i cant seem to get 1300MBPS on this thing. I read through some of the forum switched channels that seemed to help but cant get past 878MBPS on my macbook pro. Its a 2013 and i know it will hit 1300MBPS i was able to get it on SOHO routers before. Any insight on what/how i should configure the radios to get best results? I am using VHT160 and channel 48 right now. I put some screen shots below. 

dashboard wlan sees 1 but there are two mesh's one connected directly to the switch the other is wireless,

devices sees them both !!

why dont i see both in the dashboard wlan???

I've been having problems getting my Unifi to open in Windows 7 and finally found a crash report that Java crashes each time I try to open Unifi.

I sent the crash report to Java and they tell me that it is a Unifi problem. They said:

"It's a problem with Ubiquiti so you need to ask the people who wrote it for help and troubleshoot the problem. Java is being used to load their .dll libraries via JNI, so the windows libraries that they provided are causing java to crash. The Ubiquiti libraries need to be debugged. Java is just crashing because they misbehaved"

Maybe someone can comment on this and tell me what I need to do.

By the way, I can get into the Unifi controller if I'm in Safe Mode.

Hi,

We are about to buy two 5 pack Unifi AC Long Range APs, as we dont have the budget to  buy the PRO version.

8 of the AP locations will be internal, however 2 will be outside for our Hotel, however the 2 outside will be 100% undercover and protected from any possible water.

Is it possible to use 2 x Unifi AC Long Range APs for our Hotel outside (protected) use even though the LR versions are meant for internal placement?

So i did some reading on here and it appears the UAP-AC-HD has a secondary port but its purpose is just to pass data traffic (passthrough) to another device without POE. 

However my question is this, how does this access point achieve the 1733Mbps transfer rates or even the burst rates of 2533mbps it talks about if the port on it is only rated for 1Gbps? I was thinking you can do a port channel and tie the two ports together as one port and have a 2Gbps connection back to the switch, is that possible to configure? Otherwise how does it achieve these speeds with the bottle neck being the switch port? Not knocking the WAP at all its a great device i am new to it so im trying to figure that piece out if its possible to do that if not i move on and it is what it is until wireless ax comes out

am i right, that flow control on gigabit links to uap-ac-pros doesn't make any sense? or should this be enabled on the switch (cisco) too for the ports were uap-ac-pros are connected?

I use the UniFi Controller (5.5.20) with Windows 10. If I deactivate the Windows firewall the AP is found.

Is there a how-to, how the Windows firewall must be configured.

As Router I use an ER-X (UBNT Discovery is deactivated). The AP is connected on eth4 PoE passthrough.

On the same physical port configurd the same/ a trunk passing the ap vlan and the cleints vlans.

UAP-AC-M - clients can t get ip from DHCP

UAP-AC outdoors - clients get ip from DHCP

UAP-AC v2 - clients get ip from DHCP

Whats different about the UAP-AC-M

I have to replace my SSL certs on the controller with newer certificated but cannot seem to get it to work. It says it imported to the keystore and yet the old cert still exists. Even after i have deleted the /var/lib/unif/keystore file and rebooted (windows admin habit). Are the certs cached somewhere else also?
